Introduction

RadioTraffic.com converts to a specific AudioVault AV-Sat log format.

=Station Configuration

To configure RadioTraffic.com to work with AudioVault AV-Sat, you will first need modify the station configuration to utilize AudioVault AV-Sat as the automation system. In the administration module, open 'Stations'. Select the station you want to configure and double click. Once the station configuration is visible, select the 'Files' tab. Set the 'Product' to AudioVault AV-Sat using the drop down selection tool. The 'Automation Log Path' is where RadioTraffic.com will export the log to, so set this to the file system folder that AudioVault AV-Sat will pull the file from. The 'Station Identifier' field allows you to specify a unique station code that is utilized by the automation system. This should match the "Machine Number" described in the AudioVault AV-Sat documentation. The file name structure for the exported log will be MMDDYY.MachineNumber; where MM is the two digit month, DD is the two digit day, YY is the two digit year and MachineNumber is what you've entered into the Station Identifier.

Cart Numbers

We do not restrict cart number length in any way; so please check with AV-Sat for specifics on what is allowed.

Automation Commands

Automation Commands are fully supported. The Command exports as the start code and optionally event type by specifying the start code and event type as a pipe delimited value.

For example, the "Jump" command can be specified as:

The event type is optional, if omitted, the pipe delimiter is also optional.

Programs are currently not supported in the AV-Sat export.

Avails/Breaks

By default, avails automatically export to the AV-Sat file format as 'Time Align' entries.

You can suppress this behavior by using two special "automation commands". These special automation commands will not be exported and are used strictly to control the time align behavior. To do this, you need to create two automation command entries that have the command set to TIME_ALIGN_ON and TIME_ALIGN_OFF (case-sensitive). Add these to templates, formats and/or logs to toggle the automatic behavior. Doing this will force the log export to essentially ignore that it is an avail and export just the spots.

You can also suppress this on a avail type basis by appending to the description an exclamation (!) character.

It is also possible to "combine" an automation command before an avail with the avail by using another automation command that serves to combine the two. The command for this type of event needs to be set to COMBINE_WITH_BREAK (case-sensitive).

Log Reconciliation

RadioTraffic fully supports automatic log reconciliation with AV-Sat. The file name is expected to be MMMDD-MachineNumber.Log; where MMM is the abbreviated month, DD is the day of the month and MachineNumber is what you've entered as the Station Identifier. These files are expected to be in the Aired Log Path location.
