Automation System: RCS Traffic '94
<div id="Text"> ==RCS Traffic '94== [Automation_Systems|back] ((('''WORK IN PROGRESS''' - Please understand that we are actively rewriting much of our documentation and this page is currently "under construction"; if there's anything that you'd like to see added to and/or expanded upon, please let us know by [SendSmile|sending us a smile].))) ===Introduction=== RadioTraffic converts to a specific RCS log format. ===Station Configuration=== To configure RadioTraffic to work with RCS, you will first need modify the station configuration to utilize RCS as the automation system. In the administration module, open 'Stations'. Select the station you want to configure and double click. Once the station configuration is visible, select the 'Files' tab. Select the 'Product' to RCS using the drop down selection tool. The 'Automation Log Path' is where RadioTraffic will export the log to, so set this to the file system folder that RCS will pull the file from. The 'Station Identifier' will need to match the 'station number' described in the RCS User Manual. This value must be 2 digits as RCS currently automatically appends a 0 to a single digit station number; so be sure to add the 0 if the number is a single digit. The exported file will be named using the mmddyys.log pattern where mm is the month, dd is the station, yy is the year and s is the station identifier. ===Cart Numbers=== We do not restrict cart number length in any way; however, this format is limited to 4 characters maximum per the RCS Traffic specification. ===Automation Commands=== Automation commands are exported as cart numbers. ===Log Notes=== Log Notes are currently not exported. ===Programs=== Programs are currently not exported. ===Avails/Breaks=== Avails are currently not exported. ===Log Reconciliation=== RadioTraffic currently doesn't support automatic log reconciliation. If you are interested in assisting us to add this feature, please contact customer service for further details. ==FAQ== ((('''TODO''' Add any questions as they come up to this section.))) ==Additional Information== The format being exported is compatible and matches the RCS Traffic ASCII Import Specification (last revised on 4/18/94). </div> <DIV class=transcludedpage> <div id="Side">{toc} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} </div> </div> <SCRIPT type=text/javascript> var navItem = document.getElementById('ManualTab'); navItem.className = 'active'; </SCRIPT>
